Production Bookkeeper (Film & TV)
Location: Remote, with some client location visits (including production offices)

Role Overview:
We’re a relationship-led accountancy practice supporting a portfolio of Film & TV production clients. We’re looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to support production finance teams with accurate, timely processing across the day-to-day transactions that keep a show moving.
You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment, juggling multiple priorities and tight deadlines. You’ll support purchase order and invoice workflows, supplier onboarding, reconciliations (bank, cards and petty cash/float), and accurate coding of costs so production reporting is reliable. Strong Excel skills are essential, along with experience using accounting software.
Previous bookkeeping experience is essential, alongside a proactive mindset, great attention to detail, and the confidence to query anomalies early. You’ll be a clear communicator who can build trusted relationships with production managers, coordinators, heads of department and suppliers, while handling sensitive information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders, invoices and supplier payments, ensuring correct approvals and cost coding (e.g., by department, shoot unit, episode).
- Maintain accurate ledgers and journals, including bank, credit card and petty cash/float reconciliations.
- Set up suppliers and maintain documentation (e.g., onboarding details and compliance information as required by the production).
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable, including raising/processing invoices and managing queries with suppliers.
- Track and post day-to-day transactions promptly so production reporting is up to date.
- Support weekly/monthly reporting packs and balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., accruals/prepayments where required).
- Work closely with production teams (production office, HODs and the production accountant/manager) to resolve issues quickly and keep spend under control.
- Support start-up and wrap tasks such as opening/closing accounts, archiving, and ensuring documentation is complete.
- Attend client/production office visits when required and represent the company professionally on site.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role (Film/TV production accounting experience is highly desirable).
- Strong Excel skills.
- Confident using accounting systems, ideally Eclipse, moneyPenny, PSL, Xero
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative working style with production teams and suppliers.
- A high level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive production-related information.
